Majesty Hope Bland is a designer and fiber artist hailing from Detroit, MI, that reimagines traditional design methods and caters to the individuals that desire to be set apart. Growing up in a large family the main lessons that were instilled were rooted in faith, community, and resourcefulness which are the main forces of her practice. Attending College for Creative Studies and Pensole Lewis College for Business and Design for Fibers and Textiles and Fashion Accessories sparked her desire to merge traditional fiber craftsmanship with her self taught tailoring and garment construction experience. With receiving accolades such as the Virgil Abloh “Post Modern” scholarship, New Balance x Celtic Black Creators network, and features in Vogue and Teen Vogu, her accomplishments and work range in mediums of fashion, art, film, and music.
