This one might start a debate at your Christmas party. The "Protest" ornament is a miniature of Gaetano Pesce’s UP5 chair from 1969, paired with its UP6 ottoman.

This icon became a symbol of radical Italian design and carries a story much bigger than its soft, sculptural shape. Pesce created it as a tribute to women. In his words, “Women have always been boxed in by their fear of men and male prejudice. I liked the idea of giving the armchair a feminine shape.”

The attached UP6 footrest tells the rest of the story. Its heavy, ball-like form mirrors the burden and exhaustion that so many women face in their daily lives. Comfort and constraint, beauty and critique, all wrapped in one radical piece. BONDDING compressed this legend into a palm-sized Christmas ornament so you can collect it this season and flex your design-history obsession in the most unapologetic way.
