The Blue Note Classic Vinyl Reissue Series continues the label’s Blue Note 80 series (launched for its 2019 80th anniversary), offering all-analog 180g LPs mastered by Kevin Gray from the original tapes and pressed at Optimal in Germany. The first 16 titles spotlight catalog classics, with the series running ongoing alongside Joe Harley’s Tone Poet series.

A highlight: Horace Silver’s Song for My Father, the crown jewel of his hard bop catalog. Recorded across two sessions a year apart with two different bands, the album’s title track — inspired by Silver’s Cape Verdean heritage and a recent trip to Brazil — became his signature tune.
